Google is a world renowned computer technology company most famous for its domination as the world's number one internet search engine. The company was founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were studying at
Stanford. Google first broke into the search engine market with the founders' innovative approach to
search engines. The Google search engine focused on the relationship between websites to determine rank instead of just looking at search term frequency. When the company went public in 2004 its worth was $23 billion. Google has added many other services including online mail, office applications, web browsers, mapping programs, and much more. Google continues to grow and dominate much of both the Internet and computer software sectors.
